Seneca announces plans as Dixie Fire advances

Seneca Healthcare District has activated the hospital’s Hospital Incident Command Center in response to the Dixie Fire. The incident command team, led by CEO Shawn McKenzie, is set up in an abundance of caution.

The team will work closely with local, state and federal authorities to stay updated on relevant information, as the healthcare district continues to navigate through the potential fire dangers. At this time there are mandatory evacuations for the West Shore communities of Canyon Dam, Prattville and Lake Almanor West.  As a result, Seneca has activated its internal plans for patient and staff safety should it be notified of an advancing fire hazard.

Incident command will be staffed around the clock. Seneca Healthcare District hospital, family practices, and walk-in clinic remain open at this time.
