Sheriff initiates process for residents to visit burned properties

The Plumas County Sheriff’s Office has activated a process for property owners who have affected structures (a shed, house, garage, etc that has been affected by fire in some way) to be placed on a list for us to contact once the area has been rendered safe. This escort process will ONLY be for property owners who have affected structures in the Indian Valley, Greenville, Canyon Dam, West Shore, greater Chester area, and Warner Valley. This is like the escort we provided to Indian Falls residents.

If you do not already know, please confirm if you have a structure that has been affected by going to: https://www.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=91c5dc150e53415fa85a2420871aa214

Once you have confirmed if you have an affected structure please complete the online form by going to https://tinyurl.com/ynv5b6b4 or by calling 530-283-6414 (wait times may vary).

The phone line will be active from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, starting today Aug. 15, through Wednesday, Aug. 19. The Sheriff’s Office  will be staffing the phone line with a live person during those hours.
