Sheriff lifts more evacuation warnings — including Greenhorn and Spring Garden

The Plumas County Sheriff announced earlier this morning a host of evacuation changes — mostly in the Lake Almanor Basin, as of noon, more warnings will be lifted.

They are: Babcock Crossing, Elephants Playground, and Murdock Crossing areas, Walker Mine, west portion of Grizzly Valley, Mt. Ingalls, Greenhorn and Spring Garden.

Please use this MAP LINK for details; it will be updated shortly after noon: https://tinyurl.com/ydrapp24

Please do not call the dispatch center to ask questions about these modifications or to ask when another area will be changed. They do not have information different from this and it only hinders their ability to do their job.

The Sheriff’s Office will continue to evaluate the zones which are still active and make changes when safe to allow Plumas County residents back into their homes.
