4:59 a.m. Belden. A caller reports that she lost her debit card and it was used to make a purchase of $470 at an unknown Walmart.

Raring to go

8:42 a.m. Greenville. A caller reports a known male person revved their motor in front of the house. He has a stay away order. The caller requested the information be on file.

Looking lost

9:45 a.m. Quincy. A caller reports a male subject is walking in the SavMor parking lot stumbling around. The subject has white hair and is wearing a long-sleeved brown shirt, brown pants, and is very dirty. The subject is walking toward DMV now. The subject opened the door to a white Toyota 4-runner in front of the DMV and is looking through it but doesn’t seem like the vehicle belongs to him. 9:58 a.m. Units contacted a known male who was going through his own vehicle. Unable to locate anyone matching the description from the caller.

10:58 a.m. Crescent Mills. A caller requested medical for a male with a leg injury from a piece of heavy machinery. The subject is alert and conscious. The subject will be at the roadway at the north point of Round Valley Lake. The caller is going to drive down the road to meet responding units and assist them with locating the subject. 11:08 a.m. USFS is out with the caller on Round Valley Road; they are leading them to the subject. USFS will call back with the coordinates when they are out with the subject. 11:11 Plumas 11 requested a helicopter to Indian Valley hospital. 11:21 a.m. SEMSA reports an ETA of 11:43 a.m. 11:23 a.m. Plumas 11 requests to cancel the helicopter. The information was relayed to REMSA. 11:36 a.m. The subject was transported to PDH.

Change of heart

12:33 p.m. Greenville. A caller reports a known subject stole money from him and he would like to speak to a deputy. 2:19 p.m. No crime. The caller gave the subject access to his card on several different occasions over the past year. Civil procedures were provided.

Lock-it

1:45 p.m. Blairsden. A caller reports someone cut a lock on the gate at the Eastern Plumas Fire Station on C Road. 2:03 p.m. A detective contacted the caller who stated the lock was not cut but drilled out of the door. The unknown subjects were not able to gain entry, vandalism only. A criminal report was made.

Traveling in threes

4:37 p.m. Indian Falls. CHP is transporting three dogs to Animal Control.

Water way

5:04 p.m. Canyon Dam. A caller reports a flash flood from Canyon Dam South on Hwy 89. The caller said there is water and debris in the roadway. The call was transferred to CHP. 5:08 p.m. CHP transferred the caller back with concern for residences along Hwy 89. 5:11 p.m. The information was provided to dispatch. 5:59 p.m. A unit reports minor flooding only, minimal impact to the roadway, no residences are affected, and precipitation has stopped.

7:35 p.m. Delleker. A caller requested a welfare check on a patient who is wanting to self-harm due to lack of pain medication. The caller’s last contact with the patient was today. The subject is recovering from a knee surgery and is distressed due to the pharmacy declining to fill prescriptions. The patient information was provided. 7:41 p.m. A deputy will contact the subject via phone. Policy is to not respond in person to self-harm calls. 10:27 p.m. A deputy attempted to contact by phone again but no answer. Nothing further at this time.

Identity theft

7:49 p.m. Portola. A caller reports identity theft. The caller received a call from the bank related to unauthorized bank transfers. The subject is unknown. A criminal report was filed.

Accident

8:44 p.m. Chester. A caller reports a single vehicle accident on Warner Valley Road southwest of Louise Creek. The vehicle hit the bank at a high rate of speed with a single occupant and major injuries. The call was transferred to CHP. CHP confirmed the location with SIFC.

May 31

Wild life

8:56 a.m. Taylorsville. A caller reports she and her dad were bit by a dog while camping at Antelope Lake. The information was faxed to Animal Control.

Preventative action

9:44 a.m. Quincy. A caller reports a known male subject has been very violent, won’t attend his appointment and the caller requested help from a deputy. 10:35 a.m. A detective and a deputy responded to assist, and the male subject was arrested on a charge of probation violation.

Fire on the mountain

12:14 p.m. Portola. A caller reports smoke on the mountain, on the south side of Portola, northwest of Beckwourth Peak. The caller sees the smoke from Delleker Road at the gas pumps. The caller was transferred to USFS.

Loud mouth

12:29 p.m. Quincy. A caller reports a loud lady yelling in her apartment off and on yesterday and today. The caller requested a deputy come tell the lady to quiet down. It is unknown which apartment the lady is in. 12:53 p.m. The information was given to the unit. 3:53 p.m. A Sgt. advised the information is on file only.

Mail launderer

2:08 p.m. Crescent Mills. A caller reports an unknown subject is stealing mail. The park Manager found mail belonging to multiple people in the laundry room. 4:10 p.m. A Sgt. advised suspicious circumstances only, no surveillance, and the caller requested extra patrols.

Foiled

2:23 p.m. Quincy. A caller was posing as a 13-year-old girl texting an adult male subject. The subject sent nude photos to what he thought was a 13-year-old, but it was the caller. The caller is at the subject’s residence now and is requesting contact. 2:27 p.m. The caller is out with the subject behind Dollar General.

Running free

5:30 p.m. Quincy. A caller reports finding two ponies in the roadway at La Porte Road and Timber Lane. It is unknown who they belong to. The call was transferred to CHP.

Holiday visitors

11 p.m. Quincy. A caller requests a patrol check at the motel. The caller reports several subjects are being loud and drinking in the back parking lot of Ranchito Motel. June 1, 12:11 a.m. The deputy reported it was quiet upon arrival.

11:25 p.m. Quincy. A caller reports his RV is smoking. Quincy Fire was paged. June 1, 12:02 a.m. Assistance is complete.

Mean breed

11:48 p.m. Keddie. A caller reports her neighbor came home and a cabin has been broken into and there is blood everywhere. June 1, 12:36 a.m. A Sgt. reports suspicious circumstances. It appears that the blood may have been from the dogs getting into a fight.

June 1

Weird

12:04 a.m. Delleker. A caller reports there was a suspicious vehicle on the street with the lights off earlier. It occurred around 10:30 a.m. He saw a female sitting in the vehicle and the male subject was outside talking to her. The caller has not seen the car or the people before. The caller reported the car is still there and the trunk is open now. The caller stated he thinks it is suspicious and requested a deputy check the area. The vehicle is a silver Chevy Impala with Nevada plates and the trunk is up. 12:22 a.m. The vehicle is registered to Avis Rental Car Group and the deputy reported the vehicle is secure other than the trunk. Everything appears okay. Suspicious circumstances only at this time.

6:40 a.m. Lake Almanor. A caller found two Coleman canoes in the middle of West Basin and towed them to the dock at Lake Almanor West.

The benefits of being alone

8:19 a.m. Delleker. A caller reports information on file that her ex took belongings from her storage unit, cut the locks, and changed them. 8:41 a.m. A deputy advised the information is on file and civil procedures were provided, again.

Stella

11:37 a.m. Quincy. A caller reports a suspicious male subject in a black Toyota pickup, license plate number provided, who said he was looking for a girl, name specified. 12:43 p.m. The subject male called to report his daughter is missing. The subject said he flew up here to help move her and she said she was going to deal with it on her own and he cannot locate her now. Refer to the missing person’s report. 8:08 p.m. The missing female subject is outside of the office requesting to speak to a deputy and said she is not missing and told her father she did not want to talk to him. 8:10 p.m. A Sgt. contacted the female subject who is okay and said she would contact her father. She was removed from Missing Persons.

12:31 p.m. Quincy. A male subject was stumbling into the road wearing a maroon shirt. The information was given to deputies and CHP. 1:09 p.m. A Sgt. advised the male is a known subject who is not intoxicated, just has a hard time getting around.

Fire up the mountain

1:12 p.m. Portola. A caller reports smoke mid-way up the mountain northwest of Spring Valley Ranch. The call was transferred to USFS. USFS did not pick up the transfer. 1:18 p.m. The location was given to USFS.

Bio-fuel?

1:29 p.m. Quincy. A caller reports a suspicious vehicle in a dirt parking lot has been running with a person inside for the last 2 hours. The location, plate number and description of a black Toyota Camry parked in the USFS dirt parking lot on Barlow Road was reported.

Tough neighborhood

6:22 p.m. Chester. A caller reports an argument with a subject who came to the caller’s residence and stated he was going to beat him up. The subject had a taser in his hand. The subject and another person were named. The caller said the subject walked away when he called and stated that he would be back because he knows there are no cops in Chester. 8:09 p.m. A deputy contacted the caller and provided temporary restraining order procedures.

June 2

Early riser

5:43 a.m. Calpine. A caller reports a loose cow on the roadway. The call was transferred to CHP.

A case for hiring locals

6:40 a.m. Delleker. A caller requests to speak to a deputy about her IHSS worker who took $25 from her for a chair about one week ago and the caller has not heard from her since. The caller said the subject lives in Reno. 8:44 a.m. A deputy spoke to the caller who said she believes the worker is still bringing the chair. No theft at this time.

Unmarked delivery

9:10 a.m. Quincy. A caller reports a white pickup, possibly a Chevy, was at his residence trying to get up his driveway about an hour ago. The caller is now out of the area and would like a deputy to check to make sure the vehicle is gone. 10:10 A deputy advised unable to locate any vehicle matching the description and the gate to the driveway is still locked.

1:06 p.m. Quincy. A caller reports two bikes laying on the ground on the left side of the road at the intersection of Bell Lane and Quincy Junction Road. They have been there all day.

Making a scene

5:47 p.m. Blairsden. A caller reports a male parked in his truck screaming and seems very incoherent in a dark grey or brown Toyota, license plate provided, at Plumas Pines. 6:41 p.m. A deputy requested medical for a subject who is extremely intoxicated and not able to get out of his vehicle. The deputy also requested to see if CHP is in the area. Plumas Eureka Fire was paged and an EPHC ambulance. 6:47 p.m. CHP is on a traffic accident. 7:18 p.m. The male subject was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood alcohol level over .08 percent.

Practically an island

5:56 p.m. Prattville. A caller reports a vehicle drove into a ditch at the Legacy Campground. The male in the vehicle seems intoxicated, not injured, and asked the caller not to call for help. The call was transferred to CHP. 8:54 p.m. The male suspect was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood alcohol level above .08 percent.

6:28 p.m. Quincy. A male subject was arrested on Safeway Place for driving under the influence of a drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of methamphetamine.

Rough rider

6:38 p.m. Portola. A caller requests an ambulance for a male subject who passed out. The subject is alert now. The caller was transferred to EPHC. The caller is at the Gravel Grinder event at the halfway point of River Walk, across from North Fourth St. 6:43 p.m. Beckwourth Fire and EPHC ambulance were paged. 7:04 p.m. The patient was released against medical advice.

Cat scratch fever

9:42 p.m. Quincy. A caller reports an argument of some form. The caller can hear the neighbor yelling and screaming. The caller then stated that they also heard a cat screaming. It is unknown if the subject is by himself. 10:10 p.m. The location was given to all units at the “J.” 10:31 p.m. A deputy advised checking the area and sat in front of the house, which was quiet upon arrival and unable to locate anyone in need of assistance.

10:57 p.m. Quincy. A male subject was arrested on charges of probation violation, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood alcohol level over .08 percent, and driving with a suspended license after a Driving Under the Influence charge. Another male was arrested on a charge of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

June 3

Falling behind

7:16 a.m. Portola. The Lost and Found bike race checked in. 11:05 a.m. A caller reports a possible stranded rider. A Strava Beacon Alert was received. The caller received an alert from a friend who is participating in the bike race. The reason for the alert is unknown. No further information was available. The location is Grizzly Road at Lake Davis Road. The subject’s name and number were provided. 11:09 a.m. An attempt was made to contact the subject and a voice message was left. 11:15 a.m. Beckwourth Fire copied cross traffic and will send a unit to be on the lookout in the area. 11:43 a.m. Beckwourth Fire was unable to locate anyone in need of assistance. 12:59 p.m. Beckwourth Fire requested an ambulance for a fall victim with a head injury on Beckwourth/Genesee Road and Dotta Road. The call was transferred to EPHC 2:02 p.m. The subject was transported to EPHC.

11:20 a.m. Portola. A caller reports a car was vandalized overnight with black spray paint on the tire rims. The suspect is unknown. 11:46 a.m. A detective created a criminal report.

Downtown shopper

11:24 a.m. Quincy. A caller reports a small bear in the yard on Nugget Lane. Fish and Wildlife contact information was provided.

Oh OUCH!

11:34 a.m. Chester. A caller requests medical for a female with a dislocated knee at the North Shore Campground. The patient is near the bathrooms.

Marking a final moment

12:48 p.m. Taylorsville. A caller reports that a funeral will occur with a 21-gun salute and requests the information be on file.

Butterfly sighting

3:56 p.m. Quincy. A caller reports a fire in the forest, looking southwest from Indian Ridge. The caller can see flames and increasing amounts of smoke. The call was transferred to USFS. 4:35 p.m. USFS named the fire the Butter Incident. Dispatch contact with USFS to inquire regarding threats to structures. USFS advised unknown at this time and will recontact with an update. 4:55 p.m. USFS confirms no structures threatened.

Hiding out in the Sierra

4:25 p.m. Quincy. A caller reports they are a missing person due to preferring no contact with family. The subject is reported missing in Oklahoma. The caller requested a deputy contact to clear missing persons but wishes to keep her location confidential. 4:38 p.m. The missing person status was confirmed. 5:45 p.m. The subject is okay; it is okay to remove them from Missing Persons. 7:23 p.m. The reporting agency was contacted and advised the subject was contacted and wanted to be removed. The agency requested a teletype be sent and it was. 7:32 p.m. The location placed and the subject were removed from missing persons.

Car clubbing 

10:03 p.m. Chester. A caller reports that the neighbor is causing a disturbance of loud music. It is an ongoing issue with the neighbor drinking and playing his music in his car very loudly. The caller stated this is the third night in a row. The subject is a known male. 10:15 p.m. Deputies are on another case. 10:55 p.m. A Sgt. advised the information is on file, there are no deputies in position.

June 4

Clean and angry

6:08 a.m. Portola. A caller requests to speak to a deputy about a subject that returned from rehab and caused multiple verbal arguments throughout the night. The caller said that the subject was also breaking and throwing items in the residence. The caller left the house and stated the subject is still there. 10 p.m. Units contact the subject who agreed to leave the residence.

9:49 a.m. La Porte. A caller reports a Polaris Ranger abandoned in her driveway. The neighbors told the caller it showed up sometime between June 1 and June 4. The caller believes it could be stolen and provided the license plate number. 9:58 p.m. No return as a stolen vehicle. The location was given to CHP.

Coordinated recovery

10:01 a.m. Portola. A caller reports his son’s bike was stolen from in front of his house last night. The caller has a video of unknown juveniles taking it. 11:12 a.m. Units advised the bike has been located and will be handled between the parents.

Little tykes

3:15 p.m. Portola. A caller reports kittens sitting in a crate outside in the sun and all night for several days not being taken care of. The subject is known. The caller has reported it several times to Animal Control and has not received help. The caller also said she will take the kittens and foster them if allowed. The caller requested a call back from a deputy. 5:07 p.m. A deputy spoke with the male subject and checked on the cats who are okay.

Another one gets the crunch

3:45 p.m. Chester. A caller advised driving off the road and her vehicle is stuck in a creek. There are no injuries and she is out of the vehicle on the road. The caller could not provide her location but is pinning at Benner Creek on Juniper Lake Road at Benner Creek Campground.

Mobile mini

6:12 p.m. Blairsden. A caller reports locating a lost 4-year-old boy on an ATV. The boy’s name was possibly known. The location of the child was given. 6:36 p.m. It was confirmed an accidental walk away, the father is known. And the address was given in Clio.

6:14 p.m. Chester. CHP reports Chester Juniper Lake Road at Benner Creek Campground roadway is impassible with 2-3 feet washed out and requests the information be sent to County Roads.

DEEEEP sleep

10:47 p.m. Portola. A caller reports being the property manager of some apartments and a tenant’s vehicle has been running for over 6 hours. The caller attempted to contact the tenant but there is no answer at the door. The caller is concerned for the tenant’s welfare. 11:04 p.m. A deputy contacted the subject who is okay. He fell asleep earlier and did not realize his vehicle was still running. Assistance complete.

June 5

Alone

2:55 a.m. Quincy. A caller reports a vehicle parked in the middle of the road. There are no parties around the vehicle between Railway Ave. and Leonard Ave. and no hazard lights on. It is a blue Mercury CLK 320. The information was given to CHP.

7:11 a.m. Quincy. A caller reports lightning hit next to her house and there is a strong smell of smoke. 7:38 a.m. The information was relayed. 7:47 a.m. Assistance complete.

Road block or Unlikely campsite or You’re not from around here are ya?

7:49 a.m. Two Rivers. A caller reports a camper is blocking the entrance and exit to Two Rivers at Hwy 70. The call was transferred to CHP.

Heated argument

8:24 a.m. Portola. A caller reports an argument with a known female, a verbal argument only. The subject went back to her fifth wheel. 8:37 a.m. It was a verbal argument only; the parties are separated. TRO and Civil procedures were provided. The caller declined to contact Victim Witness. 9:45 a.m. 911 received a call from a neighbor who advised the suspect smashed the windshield out of a car and poured a gallon of gasoline on the floor inside the residence. 9:50 a.m. The information was given to CHP to assist and Fish & Wildlife in the area will respond as well. 10:06 a.m. Eastern Plumas Fire was paged to stage. 10:15 a.m. An onsite unit requested Beckwourth Fire for mutual aid. Beckwourth Fire was paged. 11:44 a.m. The female subject was arrested on charges of vandalism and violation of probation.

12:43 p.m. Greenville. A caller reports someone broke the back windshield of their vehicle in a secluded neighborhood. A criminal report was filed. 5:37 p.m. The caller reports a small grey vehicle came up to her residence and someone inside took a picture of where her cars were parked. 5:38 p.m. Spoke to the caller and the information is on file.

Tempers rise as temps rise

12:45 p.m. Portola. A caller reports his known neighbor is cussing him out while he is outside trying to do yard work. 3 p.m. A detective advised it is a verbal argument and civil procedures were provided. The caller requested contact from Victim Witness.

Mid-day collision

1:10 p.m. Chester. A caller reports she just hit a deer on Hwy 36 east of Hwy 32. The call was transferred to CHP.

Unintentional damage

2:12 p.m. Chester. A caller reports her windshield was broken by something from a vehicle. The suspect was driving a Womack work truck pulling a trailer on Hwy 36 on the Causeway.

4:37 p.m. Quincy. A caller reports a structure fire with possibly a resident in the house with dementia. Quincy Fire was paged. 4:43 p.m. USFS was advised. 4:48 p.m. Greenhorn, Meadow Valley, and Long Valley Fire were paged. 4:51 p.m. Indian Valley and Crescent Mills Fire were paged. 4:53 p.m. PSREC advised to respond to turn off electric service. Requests CHP to block both sides on Chandler Road. The information was given to CHP for traffic control. 5:07 p.m. Information to Nervino Airport for a helicopter standby at Nervino. 5:13 p.m. Careflight declined due to thunderstorms. 5:20 p.m. Quincy Fire support team was paged. 5:48 p.m. Cross Traffic from USFS, threat to wildland is out but structures are still being worked. 6:05 p.m. Per SIFC, the investigator was assigned, and contact number given. 6:44 p.m. The location was given to the State Fire Marshal’s office and the on-duty will call back. 8 p.m. Advised the building inspector of Fire was notified.

Unhealthy living conditions

9:44 p.m. Quincy. A caller reports her tenant’s girlfriend just came over and tried to run him over. He has no injuries. The suspect left in an Oldsmobile SUV Bravada. 10:22 p.m. A deputy advised attempting to locate the suspect, no contact at the residence. The deputy will be on the lookout in the area. The deputy attempted to contact the suspect via phone but no answer.
