Signs of support
Quincy residents may notice Measure A yard signs and window posters springing up around town in support of the local volunteer fire department. The signs, which are available at the fire station on Lawrence Street, are to encourage registered voters to extend the existing $96 parcel fee that has been included on annual property tax bills for the past 10 years. The proceeds support the Quincy Fire Protection District. Ballots will be sent out in early February and have to be returned by March 6 to be counted. Photo by Mike Taborski
