Small fire below the “Q” in Quincy

Update: The fire was contained later Saturday morning and was determined to be caused by lightning hitting an oak tree.

The Plumas National Forest reported that firefighters are responding to a very small fire with a slow rate of spread below the “Q” on Radio Hill in Quincy. A small plume of smoke is visible. While there was thunder in the area yesterday, the cause has not yet been determined.
