Snowmobile crash near Lake Davis sends victims to the hospital

Plumas County Search and Rescue responded to the scene of a snowmobile accident this afternoon, Jan. 16, west of Lake Davis. According to Search and Rescue, three snowmobilers were involved in a high-speed crash.

When Search and Rescue arrived in the area, the victims were being transported out by several other snowmobilers who came across the injured. Search and Rescue and Forest Service law enforcement transported the victims the rest of the way out by snow cat and tracked UTV.

Ambulances met the rescuers and victims at the snowmobile staging area and transported them to the hospital.
