Soroptimist of Quincy presents Outstanding Service-Club Member Award to Olivia Chaffin

Every year the Quincy High School S-Club student members vote for the Outstanding S-Club Member. This year’s recipient is club President Olivia Chaffin who has been active through exceptional leadership roles and numerous community service projects since junior high school. Last year she was chosen to receive the Soroptimist Violet Richardson Service Award.

Olivia was asked to reflect on her most rewarding experiences.  “Thanksgiving Community Suppers is one of my most rewarding experiences. I think that the Thanksgiving dinners, free to the community, that S-Club has put on have been extremely beneficial to the community and myself,” she said. “They have given me the opportunity to see the impact the club can have and have given me a personal service experience unlike any other. The community service projects where you are working directly with the community stand out as most meaningful.”

Olivia plans to attend Cal Poly Humboldt and major in Business Administration.

Soroptimist wishes to thank all students who volunteer and the advisors, Marisa Lerch and Tracy Kepple.
