Soroptimists sell See’s at the Groundhog Fever Festival

Members of Soroptimist International of Quincy (SIQ) are selling boxed candy at the Groundhog Fever Festival scheduled for this Saturday, Feb. 4 from 1 to 5 p.m.   All proceeds will support Soroptimist scholarship programs that benefit local women and girls.

Donations of plastic eggs and individually-wrapped candy will also be accepted to help with SIQ’s upcoming Easter Egg Hunt.

SIQ is part of a global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment.  Prospective members can learn more about the Soroptimist mission on Facebook @Soroptimistquincy or when they visit the candy booth this Saturday on the Courthouse Lawn.
