Special recognition

Supervisor Kevin Goss, representing the Plumas County Board of Supervisors, honored Leah Wills with a certificate of appreciation Tuesday, Dec. 17, for her many years of service. Known fondly as the Water Guru, Wills worked for the Plumas County Flood Control and Water Conservation District from 2004 to 2019. Among the many compliments Wills received, Environmental Health Director Jerry Sipe said that Wills could say more about water in a few seconds than other people could In the same amount of minutes. Public Works Director Bob Perreault said she brought institutional information to the county and was an excellent consultant. Supervisor Sherrie Thrall said that all her life she’s “believed that no one was irreplaceable, but I think you are.” Supervisor Jeff Engel said that he’s always admired her professionalism.
