Students hone poetry skills
High school students around the county are getting ready for Plumas Arts-sponsored Poetry Out Loud, a high school poem recitation competition, which takes place Sunday, Jan. 26, at the Town Hall Theatre in Quincy at 2 p.m. Makiah Barclay of Long Valley Charter in Portola practices the poem she has chosen in the hopes to represent Plumas County in the statewide competition.
