Take a yoga class; benefit the Fire Safe Council

Heart Root Yoga Studio in Blairsden is hosting its second annual Earth Day fundraiser — raising funds for the Plumas County Fire Safe Council.

This Saturday, April 22, the studio is hosting a gentle donation-based yoga class from noon-1 p.m., with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Fire Safe Council. Following the class, there will be a local artisan market from 2-5 p.m., where 20 percent of the proceeds will be donated to PCFSC.

Last year the studio raised nearly $1,500 through the class, art market, and generosity from the community members. “Our goal this year is to double that and keep the annual fundraiser tradition alive,” organizers say.

Purchase Earth Day stickers (designed by Kiana Bohm), make donations, and yoga pose pledges at https://go.rallyup.com/earthday2023/Sale/Details. Donations and art purchases can also be made during the artisan market. For more information, please contact the studio by email or phone.
