Get ready for another year of great food and friendly folks at the 14th annual Taste of Plumas set for Saturday, April 18, at the Plumas-Sierra County Fairgrounds in Quincy.

“We are so excited to be getting ready for another year of Taste of Plumas,” said event coordinator Kara Rockett-Arsenault. “People come from far and wide to attend and it always sells out. We are happy to showcase most of the best of what our county has to offer in terms of culinary artistry.”

The stars of the event are the restaurants and culinary businesses that come to show off some of the best that they have to offer. “Most of the businesses tell us that being part of this event is the best local promotion that they do,” noted Plumas Arts Director Roxanne Valladao.

As of this date, several of the annual favorite restaurants will be at the event and more restaurants will be confirming in the upcoming weeks.

The Taste also boasts generous samplings of libations — which are also included in the admission price. The Brewing Lair and Quintopia Brewing Company will provide locally brewed beer. The Drunk Brush Wine Bar and others will provide an impressive collection of wines.

There are still spaces left for businesses that might want to be involved in the event. Contact Kara at [email protected] or 927-8600 for details.

The Taste of Plumas features a silent auction, a much-enjoyed part of this event. The auction offers original art, framed prints, gift certificates and more. Any donations from businesses or individuals toward the silent auction are greatly appreciated. Donations may include items for themed baskets, home concerts or performances, or outing packages. Get creative. If you have any questions, contact Plumas Arts at  283-3402.

Presale Admission is $35 and includes one souvenir wine glass and the opportunity to savor samplings from all participants. Ticket prices go up to $40 after April 15, if the event is not already sold out.
