The view from above
The smoke that concerned Quincy residents this afternoon, which turned out to be drift smoke from the River Fire in Colfax, was captured by the National Weather Service. Scott Colfax captured the image to share with Plumas News readers. The plume can be seen coming from the Colfax area and heading north to Quincy. The smoke from the Dixie Fire is very visible as well, as it burns on several fronts.
