Thomas Edmund Nolte, age 80, passed away at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada, on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.

He was born June 2, 1941, in Los Angeles, where he was raised by his parents, the late, George & Leona Nolte. He graduated from El Cajon High School in 1959; before serving honorably in the United States Army, where he earned expert marksman status (Rifle M-14 & Pistol .45).

Returning to civilian life he worked at a ski resort in Vail, Colorado; then attended Cal State Stanislaus, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature. Here he met, fell in love and married Maureen Musso Nolte. In April of this year, they celebrated 46 years of marriage.

Their first home was in Twain Hart, where their first child Jennifer was born. The family moved to Cromberg, in 1978; where their son, Tommy was born in 1980. In Cromberg and Portola, Tom continued his career in real estate, being named realtor of the Year in 1980. He was the owner of Stagecoach Reality, practicing until his passing.

Mr. Nolte was well traveled both in Europe and the United States and his interest were in current events, cinema, classic cars, and he especially loved God & country.

He is survived by his wife, Maureen; children, Jennifer and Tommy; sister, Jacquiline and granddaughter, Julie; by numerous nieces and nephews which were all a pleasure to him.

A Mass of the Christian Burial will be Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Quincy, with Father Salvador Bringus as Celebrant. Graveside committal service will follow at the Cromberg Cemetery in Cromberg. Services are under the direction of Blair Mortuary, Quincy.
