More thunderstorms predicted for today
According to the National Weather Service, thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening as an area of low pressure moves toward California and Nevada. Thunderstorms will be similar to storms that developed yesterday afternoon with periods of heavy rain, frequent lightning, and gusty winds. The weather service also reminds residents that there is “no safe place to be outside” during a thunderstorm. It is recommend that you move indoors and remain there until you have not heard thunder for 30 minutes.
