Town Hall announces new lineup beginning with House of Gucci

Town Hall Theatre management announced its upcoming lineup and encourages the public to enjoy movies on the big screen to keep this hometown theatre operational in the new world of movie streaming.

HOUSE OF GUCCI plays January 7 to 10, Friday, Saturday & Monday at 7pm Sunday at 4pm

House of Gucci is inspired by the family empire behind the Italian fashion house of Gucci. Spanning three decades of love, betrayal, decadence, revenge, and ultimately murder, the film reveals what a name means, what it’s worth, and how far a family will go for control. Based on a true story combined with an outstanding cast led by Lady Gaga and directed by Ridley Scott Performances by Lady Gaga and Jared Leto have created awards season buzz in an all-star cast including Adam Driver, Al Pacino, Selma Hayek and Jeremy Irons in this film Directed by Ridley Scott.

ENCANTO plays January 14 to 17, Friday, Saturday & Monday at 7pm Sunday at 4pm

Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Encanto, is the tale of an extraordinary family, the Madrigals, who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia in a magical house, in a vibrant town, in a wondrous, charmed place called an Encanto. The all-new original film features the voice of Stephanie Beatriz as Mirabel, an ordinary 15-year-old who’s struggling to find her place in her family. “Mirabel is a really funny, loving character who also deeply yearns for something more,” says Beatriz. “She’s also not afraid to stand up for what she knows is right—something I love and relate to very much.” The Columbian setting and young female star provide extra appeal. Great music and spectacular and colorful animation add to the importance of enjoying this film in a theatre!

THE MATRIX: RESURRECTIONS plays January 21-24, Friday, Saturday & Monday at 7pm Sunday at 4pm

The Matrix: Resurrections is the return of an action franchise that re-defined a genre over twenty years ago, and this fourth installment is doing it again. From visionary filmmaker Lana Wachowski this long-awaited fourth film in the groundbreaking franchise that redefined a genre. The new film reunites original stars Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss in the iconic roles they made famous, Neo and Trinity. This Sci-Fi thriller’s preview features Jefferson Airplane’s ‘White Rabbit’ provides an eerie and inviting background to the trailer. Audiences world wide are excited to see this in theaters instead because they saw the originals in theaters first.

WEST SIDE STORY plays January 28 to 31, Friday, Saturday & Monday at 7pm Sunday at 4pm

This mixture of crime drama and musical romance Directed by Academy Award winner Steven Spielberg is adapted from a screenplay by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Tony Kushner with the original score by Leonard Bernstein. West Side Story tells the classic tale of fierce rivalries and young love in 1957 New York City. This reimagining of the beloved musical stars Ansel Elgort (Tony); Rachel Zegler (María); Ariana DeBose (Anita); David Alvarez (Bernardo); Mike Faist (Riff); Josh Andrés Rivera (Chino); Ana Isabelle (Rosalía); Corey Stoll (Lieutenant Schrank); Brian d’Arcy James (Officer Krupke); and Rita Moreno (as Valentina, who owns the corner store in which Tony works). Moreno – one of only three artists to be honored with Academy, Emmy, GRAMMY, Tony and Peabody Awards – also serves as one of the film’s executive producers.

SING 2 plays February 11-14, Friday, Saturday & Monday at 7pm Sunday at 4pm

The new chapter in Illumination’s smash animated franchise returns with big dreams and spectacular hit songs as can-do koala Buster Moon and his all-star cast of animal performers prepare to launch their most dazzling stage extravaganza yet …in the glittering entertainment capital of the world. There’s just one hitch: They first have to persuade the world’s most reclusive rock star—played by legendary music icon Bono, making his animated film debut—to join them. The film also features the vocal talents of Matthew McConaughey, Scarlett Johansson, Reese Witherspoon, Taron Egerton, and Pharrell Williams.
