The Mt. Hough Ranger District of the Plumas National Forest will be holding a collaborative town hall meeting on Wednesday, May 18, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Quincy Public Library, located at 445 Jackson Street.
Ranger District employees have been working on the Claremont Forest Resiliency Project which borders Quincy and Meadow Valley. Most of the project area is within the wildland urban interface and the goal of the project is to reduce fuels, improve forest health, habitat restoration, treat non-native plant species, and improve watersheds by reducing road impacts.
The primary purpose of the town hall meeting is to hear and gather public and stakeholder input on the project proposed activities and what their priorities are.
District employees will be there to talk with anyone wishing to participate at any time between 4 and 6 p.m.
If there is a specific topic of interest or any questions, please contact Mt. Hough District Project Lead Kyla Sabo at [email protected]
