Trio of Turkey Trots in Plumas County this Thanksgiving

A trio of Turkey Trots are available for Plumas County residents this Thanksgiving, Nov. 24. Events are planned for Lake Almanor, Greenville and Quincy. The Chester Turkey Trot benefits the Lake Almanor Area Fireworks Fund and the Quincy event is sponsored by the Quincy Co-op Preschool. Indian Valley “Turkey Trot” Thanksgiving Day

This year’s race begins at The Spot on Pine Street with registration beginning at 8 a.m. and the race beginning at 9 a.m. Cost is $25 for individuals or $50 for families. T-shirts are available for $10. There are prizes and dog costume competition.

Lake Almanor Chamber of Commerce Turkey Trot

Registration/Sign-In starts at 7a.m. and the run begins at 8 a.m. in the Bailey Creek Parking Lot 433 Durkin Drive Lake Almanor
Come early for free coffee and pastries! First 50 runners get a free fuzzy earband. Prizes for first place in each category (mens, womens, children 0-13) and for best Turkey or Thanksgiving-themed costume! The cost is $25 for a single participant; $40 for 2+ participants. You can also register online for the event.

 

Quincy Co-op Preschool Turkey Trot

Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the run/walk starts at 9 a.m. at Feather River College. Pre register for $25 at the Toy Store or register at the event. There are prizes for best costume and more. Goodie bags will be distributed. Proceeds benefit the Quincy Co-op Preschool.
