Two big sales coming up at White Sulphur Springs Ranch

The last two major fundraisers had to be canceled due to Covid-19, so the Mohawk Valley Stewardship Council (MVSC) has had to get creative to have the means to continue the restoration work at the historic ranch site.

Two major sales events are planned. The first is the online only White Elephant Sale.  This sale will include an array of high quality items from household goods to collectibles, jewelry and works of art. For six days, July 27 from at 8 a.m. until Aug. 1 at 5 p.m., shoppers can view and purchase items featured online by clicking on a link appearing at the website, This is not an auction.  Prices will be listed along with a photo of every item for sale. Buyers can make the purchase online  and then pick up the item at the ranch house between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Aug. 2 and 3, at 2200 Highway 89 in Clio.

A preview of the sale will be on the website two days prior to the sale: July 25 and 26 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Shoppers can pick out their favorites by viewing on their computers or smart phones and then be ready to make their purchases on the following sales days.

The other fundraiser that is planned is the second annual rummage sale which will be held at the ranch site in Clio, on Saturday, Aug. 14, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Donations for this sale will be accepted on Saturday, Aug. 7, and Sunday, Aug. 8,  from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This sale was a great success last year … mostly due to the high quality of items donated by MVSC members and volunteers. More information will follow as the event approaches. For more information about both sales, contact Judy at 530-836-0254

MVSC volunteers are also planning a “Family Day” on Labor Day weekend, Sunday Sept. 5, from noon to 4 p.m. with the house and grounds open to the public. Patrons are urged to save the date.
