Update on the Chilcoot Rehabilitation Project on SR 70

The Chilcoot Pavement Rehabilitation project on SR 70 will have  24/7 traffic control with 30 minute delays that began Sunday, July 29, at 7 p.m. and will run through Saturday, Aug. 3, at 7 p.m.

According to Christopher Woodward, public information officer for Caltrans District 2, the tentative schedule is:

– Saturday, Aug. 3, 7 p.m. – Monday, Aug. 5, 7 p.m.: No work or delays planned.

– Monday, Aug. 5 – Friday, Aug. 9: Night paving work 7 p.m. – 7 a.m., with up to 20 minute delays.

– Friday, Aug. 9, 7 a.m. – Sunday, Aug. 11, 7 p.m.: No work or delays planned.

– Sunday, Aug. 11, 7 p.m.: 24/7 traffic control begins, with 30 minute delays in the area.

Please slow down and drive carefully as some areas of roadway are in unfinished condition. Watch for equipment and remember, 55 mph and 45 mph speed limit reductions remain in force within the project limit.
