Voluntary evacuation for downtown Quincy
The Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with the U.S. Forest has called for the voluntary evacuation of downtown Quincy. The order is in effect for all residents who reside south of Jackson along its length from Old Meadow Valley Road to Nugget Lane. An evacuation center has been set up at the Mormon Church in Quincy located at 55 Bellamy Lane near Plumas District Hospital. The voluntary evacuation was called for after the fire spotted into Boyle Ravine. Flames were visible to downtown residents throughout the evening.
I am so sorry to hear this. I am praying for you all. The dear firefighters, my loved ones, and every person of my hometown. Be safe. Be well. And please evacuate if you are recommended to do so. No property is worth your life.

Oh my… As we had flash flooding here in Las Vegas, NV through the night, I awake 2 many friends and family posting many public service announcements to be evacuated for this fire. My prayers to all affected during this trying time… I’ll do my best to send some rain your way… Stay safe folks!

I lived in Quincy/Meadow Valley for several year and I just love that it.
Please be safe and watch out for one another. My prayers also for the firefighters and any and all who are fighting the fire. Please I ask also for prayer for my brother who is also up there fighting the fire.
I used to live there! I worked at Safeway! My kids went to school there. So very sad!
