West End Theatre announces dramaworks’ new season

Last year’s theater season was an artistic success, and dramaworks is now prepping for its 2019-2020 season. On behalf of the board of directors, employees and volunteers, dramaworks thanks the community for its continued support and invite you to be a part of our upcoming season by becoming a season ticket subscriber and/or donor.

This season’s line up has something for everyone! First, this September be whisked away to the woods of Maine in the classic American comedic drama that effortlessly illustrates the hilarious and heartbreaking human moments of which life is made in “On Golden Pond.”

This holiday season, enjoy the spectacular musical adaptation of the unforgettable Christmas tale that will fill your heart with light, warmth and the joy of the season in “A Christmas Carol.”

Dramaworks’ Magic Beanstalk Players spring musical is included in this year’s season. K-8-grade drama students will take audiences away to a place where dreams are born and no one ever grows up in the endearing classic “Peter Pan.”

Finally, Feather River College presents a witty, insightful and hilarious musical that takes on the truths and myths behind that contemporary conundrum known as “the relationship.” The agonies and triumphs of the characters on their journey will have audience members shouting, “This is my life!” in “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change.”

The West End Theatre gives the community a chance to see and be seen as friends, neighbors and artists. Organizers said, “We hope to inspire with each nightly performance. Theatre gives an opportunity to share in the exchange of ideas, emotions and experiences leaving everyone changed for the better. We look forward to sharing more vital, thought provoking shows with you this season. Your generous support allows us to continue to provide an artistic home for adventurous performances, significant works of literature, plays, musicals and opportunities for creative growth and enrichment for our youth programs.”
