What can remain open when the power goes off

The news staff at Feather Publishing has been accumulating a list of businesses and services located throughout Plumas County that can continue to operate when the power goes out for extended periods.

We have talked to gas stations, grocery and hardware stores, pharmacies, restaurants, services districts and more — the entities that provide the basic services that people need on a daily basis.

We plan to print a list of those entities in an easy pullout format in the newspaper that will be useful countywide.

If your business has a plan in place that will allow it to remain open please call 283-0800 and ask for Debra Moore or email [email protected] If you have already talked to a reporter, it’s not necessary to make contact.

We want this list to be as inclusive and as valuable as possible so we encourage your input.
