White Sulphur Springs Ranch holds giant rummage sale Saturday

After a successful online White Elephant Sale in July, the volunteers at White Sulphur Springs Ranch (WSSR) are having an in-person, on-site, rummage sale on Saturday, Aug. 14.

This is the second annual Giant Rummage Sale event at WSSR. Hours are from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the ranch site, 2200 Highway 89, one quarter mile South of A 15, in Clio.

Mohawk Valley Stewardship Council (MVSC) volunteers and patrons have been very generous. The old ranch house is full of donated art, jewelry, household items, collectables and tools.  Art work and jewelry will be arranged inside the house and everything else will be displayed on the grounds outside. Masks are required inside the ranch house.  House tours, featuring period décor and recent remodeling, are available by appointment.

The pandemic has put a great financial strain on the MVSC. Two of the annual main fundraising events have had to be canceled.  The last Summerfest at WSSR was in June of 2019. Membership drives, Legacy Brick sales and grants have made a difference but events like this Giant Rummage sale and the previous online White Elephant Sale have become very important for the continuation of the restoration efforts at this historic property.

For more information about the rummage sale and house tours, call Judy at 530-836-0254.  For Information about WSSR, including membership opportunities, and upcoming fundraisers, check the website at www.WhiteSulphurSpringsRanch.com.
