Winter storm warning in effect

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning from this afternoon through Thursday morning, March 28, that will impact Plumas, Lassen and Sierra counties. The current storm is expected to subside by 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, with a stronger storm coming in Tuesday night and lasting through Thursday. Initial snow levels will be above 5,000 feet, but are expected to drop to 4,000 feet. Mountain travel will be hazardous and is not recommended.
