Winter weather advisory for Lassen and eastern Plumas and Sierra counties
A winter weather advisory is in effect from 5 p.m. this afternoon, Oct. 17, until 5 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 18.
Snow is expected above 5,500 feet tonight into tomorrow morning. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches. Localized higher totals are possible at higher elevations .
Plan on slippery and snow covered road conditions, including: Little Truckee Summit, Yuba and Fredonyer Passes. Chain controls and slow-downs possible. The hazardous conditions could impact evening driving.
While this storm is predicted to taper off Monday afternoon, more wintry weather is predicted from Wednesday into next weekend.
