Letter to the Editor: Aluminum Cans only please

Meadow Valley Fire Department wishes to thank the community for the continued support of your CRV (California redemption value) aluminum can donations. As a completely volunteer fire department, this support helps MVFD with minor and major firefighting purchases such as personal protective equipment (PPE), fire engines, and even help with the completion of our new and badly needed building.

As much as we appreciate your aluminum can donations, please avoid donating anything other than CRV aluminum cans. We can’t accept glass bottles, plastic bottles, aluminum foil, aluminum baking pans, cat food tins, cardboard, paper, or plastic bags, etc. Anything that isn’t a CRV aluminum can has to be hauled to the dump and MVFD doesn’t have garbage service.
