Letter to the Editor: Another couple years to defend itself

Having wondered why it’s impossible to have a reasonable conversation with a modern Republican, I think I found an answer:

“The problem is MAGAs have lost their connnection with reality. They will not believe their idol has seduced them into insanity. They smuggly believe they are one of the select few smart enough to know the truth. They have no doubts and are unpersuaded by argument. They are impervious to logic, common sense, and facts. And they dismiss reason as a coercive Deep State acting like the Devil tempting Jesus.”

I’m not posting this as an attempt give talking points to those who try reason, but as as a caution to not even bother.
American democracy seems to have won another couple years to defend itself.

Let’s not waste it!
