Letter to the Editor: Make the right call on masks
I’d like to ask the Plumas County Health Director Loomis the reasoning behind ‘waiting’ for the infection rate to become critical before making masks mandatory. (Consider the outcome from the call on the Tamarack Fire – wait and see – approach). What’s wrong with getting ahead of the curve and requiring masks. This is a high volume tourist area with people traveling here from all over – the world – certainly the state. If you had a choice of wearing a mask in public places over a real possibility of infecting a friend or family member, or yourself, what would you choose?
