Letter to the Editor: More about ‘hate’

Editor’s note: This is in response to a previous letter writer:

Your counter-point to my point of “hate” actually was more to my point. You clearly hate our President and at best think I am horrible for backing him. You used some Hateful words to describe him, yet failed to back them up with any facts.

You missed the entire second point. Making decisions out of blind hate almost always has unintended and sometimes dire consequences.
You are correct, our President did not win the popular vote. Reading your words and mine, it is infinitely clear the framers of our constitution were far wiser and smarter than both of us.

The Electoral College System is brilliant. With popular voting, middle, rural America [that’s us] would be completely left out of voting for the highest office in the land.

If your candidate wins, I will not hate him or you. I will be disappointed, even anxious. But, I will get over it and it won’t take 4 years.

In 4 years, my vote again will go to the candidate that will do best for the American people, not the most likable personality.
