Letter to the Editor: Who’s to blame?
We seem to be searching for someone to blame for the surging inflation. The country is exiting a severe pandemic (an entire political party thought it was a hoax) that has produced one million dead Americans and huge consumer demand. At the same time workers have decided they did not want to work for slave wages. Of course, that’s part of it. The major part is our modern permutation of capitalism, greed and selfishness. So quit complaining about the high prices of gasoline. Write a thank you letter to Exxon Mobile, British Petroleum, and those other kind kleptocrats for extorting us rubes.
Respectfully
