The Portola Tiger girls win the CIF Northern Section basketball championship Friday, Feb. 28, at Butte College when they beat the Durham Warriors 48-28. The win propels them into the state tournament with a game scheduled for this Tuesday, March 3. As this newspaper went to press, the opponent and results were not yet known.
