Graeagle Meadows Women’s Golf Club play day includes Hole in One

Play day for the Women’s Golf Club on June 22 included a Hole in One!  Holly Anderson used a 7 iron on her tee shot for Hole 3, a par 3, and sunk her first Hole in One. “You could hear the cheering from several surrounding holes!” said Carol Miller. “Congratulations Holly!!” The game of the day was “Criss Cross.” The rules for the game include the player’s best score for corresponding holes on the front and back nines count (i.e., either hole 1 or 10, 2 or 11, etc.).  Game scores represent how many strokes over par (+) or under par (-) was the total game score relative to par on the holes that counted.  Winners in Flight A were:  Low Gross, Debbie Fuetsch (+2); 1st Low Net, Ginger Holladay-Houston (-7); and, 2nd Low Net, Holly Anderson (-4).  Flight B winners included:  Low Gross, Nancy Linch (+11); 1st Low Net, Mikie Burdick (-6); and, 2nd Low Net, Cathy Macdonald (-5).

June Ace of Aces qualifiers were:  Low Gross, Debbie Fuetsch with an 80, and Low Net, Mikie Burdick with a net 71, both will play in the September Ace of Aces Playoff.

And, there were “chip-ins” galore:  One each for Holly Anderson (a hole in one is a huge “chip-in”), Cynthia Baldwin, Diane Forsberg, Ginger Holladay-Houston, and Nancy Linch.
