FRC rodeo students warm up to competition in Fresno

The Feather River College Rodeo team headed off to compete at the West Coast Regional College Rodeo in Fresno over the March 10 and 11 weekend.

FRC Head Rodeo Coach Riley York said, “We kinda worked on getting over our nerves for the first rodeo of the season.” Coach York explained that this year’s rodeo team is “young and just getting into the swing of it.”

Jesse Clark pulled in a handful of points during the competition according to the coach. “We’ve got a lot of freshman,” said York who was a young rodeo student at FRC himself not that long ago.

The team has three more rodeos in their future before the season ends. Two are in San Luis Obispo in early April and the last is in Las Vegas in May.
