Golf results for the week of 11/27/19

Graeagle Meadows Men

No results were available for Friday or Wednesday play, Nov. 15 or 20. The weather looks to be deteriorating so GMGA wrapped up regular weekly play Nov. 22. After a brief respite those who are interested will be organizing “Winter Play” where most play will take place in the Reno area.

Inquiries about membership in the Graeagle Men’s Golf Association can be submitted to [email protected], or by visiting the website at gmeadowsclubs.com/MenHomeDir/index.html.

After a cold, windy start for the day, 12 players teed off and the results are in. First place: Mike Ingle, Dick Grace and Jeff Stevens was the ringer team for the day. Second place: At only one stroke behind was: Don McConnell, Jim Battagin and Stan Carr. Tied for third was the team of Ron Christensen, Leo Ray and Tom Gossett, and the team of Perry Bertocchi, Leo Sorosinski and Darel Joseph.

Closest to the pin was Darel Joseph. No chip-ins for  the day.

These club members all give a shout out to recovering greens keeper Larry Craggs of Greenville. Get back soon Larry!

These players are out on Wednesday mornings, so come on out and challenge them. Although the season may be over, Mt Huff Golf Course is open year round and Wednesday morning scrambles will continue.

So all you golfers, when your course closes, come on over and join the diehards at Mt Huff. Scrambles start at 10 a.m. and everyone is welcome to participate. Call 284-6300 to join this fun tournament with prizes.
