Mt. Huff Golf

Another great turnout on another beautiful fall day. Mt. Huff welcomed the golfers on Oct. 11 for the Wednesday Morning Scramble.

In first place at 8-under-par was the two-man team of Jeff Stevens and Don McConnell.

Ron Cater, Dan Rooney and Loren Lindner brought it in at second place with 4-under-par.

Ralph Cote scored the chip-in and Dick Grace hit it closest to the pin.

The mornings are cool, but the day warms up nicely. Play starts at 10 a.m. and sign-up is at 9:30 a.m. There is still a lot of great golf weather ahead of us, so come join us in Crescent Mills.

“Short and Sweet” was our game of the day. It sounded good, but to at least one of us (namely me) it was far from sweet. I have to say it was fun and all of us enjoyed the beautiful day.

We had a small group, so there was no flighting of this game.

Ginger Birchfield placed first and Joyce Gronroos placed second. Wynnetta Regli had a chip-in and Diana Pallari had a chip-in and birdie on Hole 8.

All in all, as usual we enjoyed a beautiful day of golf with a great group of girls.

Until next week, hit them straight and long.
