Golfers play through the haze

The Graeagle Meadows Womens Golf Club members braved the haze to compete in the August Ace of Aces qualifier Aug. 27.  Each month the low gross and low net winners of this tournament qualify to play in the end-of-season Ace of Aces Playoff in September. If the low scoring member has won a previous month’s qualifier, the second low scoring member qualifies for that month.  August’s qualifiers were:  Low Gross, Dottie Hattich (95); and, Low Net, Cathy Churchill (70).

The game of the day was Low Gross/Low Net. The Low Gross winner was Priscilla Piper (89). First Low Net was a tie between Lois Childress and Dee Walker, both with 73.
