Play day weather May 11 was cool, but dry, after several days of snow and hail. The golf course was wet but very playable. The game of the day was individual par points, plus skins. In this format a player receives 0 points for net bogey, 1 point for net par, 3 points for net birdie, 5 points for net eagle, 8 points for net double eagle, and the player loses 1 point for net double bogey or worse. The First-Place winner was Jim Reynolds with 29 points. There was a tie between Norm Nichols and Dan Friedman, with 26 points each, for second place. Norm Nichols shot an 85. This is significant because Mr. Nichols is 87 years old. A golfer shooting their age is significant; someone shooting under their age is very significant. There were 6 skins earned during the game. They were awarded to Jim Reynolds (2), Ron Eaton, Norm Nichols, Don Judson and Bert Bellows.
