Greenville Indians beat Loyalton Grizzlies

Greenville High volleyball won against the Loyalton Grizzlies by a score of 3-0 on Oct. 3. Individual game scores were 25-14, 25-14 and 25-16.

Senior Averie Navarro led with nine kills and freshman Alexis Goodson nailed seven. Junior Emma Sordi served up five aces and Narvarro aced three.

Sophomore Ashlyn Bustamante received six serves, Navarro five and Sordi four.

“The girls played a solid match after a week off,” said head volleyball coach Dan Brown. “We are looking forward to continuing league play during the month of October.”

The Greenville girls are 7-8 overall for the season and play Quincy today, Oct. 11, on the  Chester High School court. Tomorrow, Oct. 12, the Indians will play the Westwood Lumberjacks, again in Chester, at 5:30 p.m. On Thursday, Oct. 19, they will play the Lumberjacks again, but this time in Westwood.

Greenville volleyball will play in Loyalton on Tuesday, Oct. 24, and their last game is against the Herlong Vikings on Thursday, Oct. 26, at 5:30 p.m.
