Greenville keeps the jets burning during winter break

The Greenville Indian basketball teams traveled to Etna for a New Year’s tournament.

During the tournament the GHS boys lost to the Trinity Wolves on day one (Jan. 2) by a score of 65-39.

The team turned things around on day two winning 54-49 when facing the Butte Valley Bulldogs on Jan. 3.

The final day of competition, the boys won 54-45 against the Happy Valley Indians on Jan. 4. Senior Andrew Putnam earned the All Tourney selection for the boys.

The Greenville girls tournament play also started off with a loss, to the Fall River Bulldogs on Jan. 2 by a score of 62-21.

The team played the Trinity Wolves on Jan. 3 and the Surprise Valley Hornets for their final match Jan. 4. Senior Ashlyn Bustamante earned the All Tourney selection for the girls.

“We took a tour of Siskiyous College in our down time,” said Greenville head girls basketball coach Bridgette Bustamante.
