Be it the luck of the Irish or the skill of the team, the Greenville Indians won both of their home non-conference games against the Herlong Vikings on March 17.

The girls kicked off the afternoon with their first win against the Vikings, 14-5, on the Greenville field.

McKenzie Brown had four plate appearances and three runs. Ryle Botts and Ashlyn Bustamante both scored three runs as well.

Mia Harris was on the move stealing four bases and earning two of her team’s 14 points.

There was a short break between victories when the Indians prepared for their second game of the day.

During that second game against the Vikings that ended in a final score of 22-4, McKenzie Brown made five plate appearances, five runs and three RBIs. Valerie Peters was right behind Brown with five at bats, four hits and four runs. Ashlyn Bustamante stole five bases and added three runs.

The Greenville Indians are currently slated to play the Trojans in Quincy at 4 p.m., on March 29, and the Portola Tigers are scheduled to come to Greenville to challenge the Indians on April 5, at 4 p.m., weather permitting.
