Halfway through season with 3 leaders

At our Saturday, Feb. 15 gathering we had a great turnout with 16 players.

It was back-to-back wins as Darlene Pekovich took first place again with an outstanding 17 games points earned with seven wins on the day. Susan Terry came in second with a nice 15/7 scorecard and Ron Morgan was right on Darlene and Susan’s heels with an equally nice 14/7 score. Doug Hart from Blairsden took fourth with a 12/5.

Darlene is now the club leader with 174 points with Ron close behind with 170 points. Meanwhile, Susan Terry, who has been the club leader for several weeks, is now in third place with 166 points.

It now appears to be a three-horse race to the finish, but we are only a little over halfway through the 2019/2020 season. A lot can happen in the remaining 14 weeks.

There were four 24-hands dealt that day to A.J., Keith Nelson, Don Stafford and Darlene — who held the last one to win the 24-Hand Pot.

There were only two 4-of-a-kind hands, held by Ron Morgan and Reiner Talmet — Ron cut the high card and won the side pot.
