C. Roy Carmichael of Eastern Plumas was this week presented a citation and honored for many years of service, sitting on the Plumas County Fair Board of Directors for over 25 years. The award was presented to Carmichael by State of California Lt. Governor Robert Finch, representing California Governor Ronald Reagan’s administration.

More than 2100 signatures have been collected by the committee to recall Plumas County District Attorney Michael Crane. The committee cites Crane’s lack of competence in the courtroom as the reason for the proposed recall.
10 YEARS AGO … 2007
A late winter storm rolled through Plumas County, taking out electrical power, closing schools and the California Highway patrol responded to over 40 storm related traffic accidents.
