Soccer takes to the field

Soccer season coincides with the beginning of fall this year making this time of year a terrific time to get outdoors and enjoy the clear crisp clean air of Plumas County.

The Trojan boys took to the field for their first game yesterday, Sept. 11, at Squaw Valley Academy, and then will host Loyalton in Quincy on the Trojan green tomorrow, Sept. 13, at 4 p.m.

The first two games for the Quincy Trojan girls will be Wednesday, Sept. 19 and Saturday, Sept. 29 both in Sage Ridge against the Scorpions.

The start of league play for the QHS boys begins against their rivals, the Portola Tigers, in Portola at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20.

Portola however launched right into league play during their first game on the field, Sept. 11, challenged by CORE Butte from Chico. The Tigers will take on the Loyalton Grizzlies Tuesday, Sept. 18, on their home field at 4 p.m.
