Trojan volleyball tournament set for Sept. 17
The Trojan volleyball team headed along the Sierra ridge to Fall River Mills for a tournament Sept. 9 and 10. “Both teams put in some amazing work this weekend at Fall River, with Jenna Peay (JV) and Savannah Little (Varsity) taking home All Tournament awards!” said Quincy High School head volleyball coach Rebakah Grammar. “There is nothing these girls can’t take on!”
The success at the Fall River Mills 45th Emblem F Tournament was a nice boost for the QHS girls after a trip to Virginia City Sept. 6 where the Muckers got the best of them 3-1.
Have no fear, there is more volleyball on the horizon. Local fans are welcome and invited to come cheer on the Quincy team, “Come join us at Quincy High School’s first Trojan Volleyball Tournament Saturday, Sept. 17, starting at 8 a.m. at Feather River College,” said Grammar. And who knows, perhaps 45 years from now we can all say, I remember the first Trojan Tourney!
