Volcano volleyball wins 3-1

The Chester Volcanoes beat the Westwood Lumberjacks in the last preseason volleyball game Sept. 16.

Conference challenges are the name of the game from here on out with the Volcanoes facing Mercy, Redding, Burney and Los Molinos. The Chester girls will have a chance to study their opponents and make adjustments as the league provides an opportunity to play each challenger twice during conference play.

The girls have three away games — Los Molinos on Oct. 8, Mercy on Oct. 10 and Redding on Oct. 15, before they come home to the CHS court.

The Burney Raiders come to call at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17, in front of the Chester fans and the Los Molinos Bulldogs come to CHS for the final match of the season the following week, Thursday, Oct. 24, to play at 5:30 p.m.
